FOUR GOAN UNDERWATCH OVER CORONOVIRUS IN GOA MEDICAL COLLAGE.

Recently returned from China four have been put under watch by directorate  of health services,where their health condition is being constantly monitored  to check if they have developed any symptoms  of novel coronavirus (nCov).        Health officers  at the DHS are taking the


returnes on a daily  bans to see if they are experiencing any symptoms of deadly virus, such as fever, cough and respiratory distress.                                       Goa state epidemiologists Dr.Utkarsh betodkar said daily checkup of the four locals under observation will go on for 28 days.starting from the date of their arrival in india.they all are doing fine,and their is nothing to worry.                                         





 Dr.Betodekar said a status report on the middle aged patient who is on suspected to afflicted with coronavirus, is expected from the pune_based National institute of virology.                   The health condition of the patient is absolutely fine. Apart from sore throat he no other health issue.infact,it is unwise to call him a patient as he does not have a major illness he has been isolated as he had a travel history China and shown one of the symptoms of the virus Dr.Utkarsh explained.                 The patient and his wife had recently traveled to kunshan a place which 750 km away from china's Wigan city which is the outbreak spot of the coronavirus identified as a tourist he had traveled from China to Delhi a week ago,and subsequently arrived in goa .A top officer from the union ministry of health and family welfare had a meeting with officials of the health department of all goa states.on Wednesday  through video conference, where the central offical reviewed the measures being taken up to prevent coronavirus by states including goa.                                At the meeting it was informs that passengers screening facilities  on a nCov will be jointly set up by the Airport authority on India  and civil aviation minister at the dabolim airport.                   The DHS will provide the



required manpower to set up a help desk  we are going to designate over health               officers who will be at the airport round the clock," Dr.betodkar said.                        Meanwhile tourism director Menino's D' Souza said the tourism department will issue a communique to all the hotels through the travel and tourism Association of the Goa,asking hoteliers to report details of visitors from China to DHS for effective monitoring of their health conditions.                         Airport director Gagan malika mentioned the union health ministry has not issued any directive to the airport authorities of India to set up of centre or unit at the dabolim airport to screen passengers over coronavirus. Also he said they union health minister has not issued any travel advisory  or directive to the Airport authority or India to set of centre or unit at dabolim airport to screen passengers.
